Twice - it was so embarrassing !
I had to phone someone to get them to bring some as I had no money on me either !!

I have never run out of gas. I never let the tank get below the 1/4 mark.

Once. Last year, I went into the 7-11 for prepaid gas. (the card). I got in and drove away without filling up. I realized that when the car broke down on the freeway.

I have never run out of gas, except when I mow the grass. Then it's every time, cause I just mow until the mower chugs to a stop, then I fill 'er up. But in my car or truck, I've never run out.

Never. I don't drive, only walk, run, drive, and bicycle.
On the other hand, in some ways I'm never out of gas because Mexican is my favorite food! LOL!

Embarrasingly, I ran out of gas with my 5 year old in the back seat of my SUV...
Thankfully, as I was pushing my truck to the Sam's gas pumps, people took pity having seen my beautiful little girl in the back looking sad.... and helped me to the pumps....

A couple of times once when I was young and didn't know any better and once when the gas gage broke and hung at a half tank....
