Of course lots of people meet online. Some end up in long term relationships, others turn out "not so hot." It's not a question of right or wrong; it's more whether you're make smart moves or not. You can't help how you feel, but you can make choices.
I don't know what kind of interaction you've had with this guy, but the real question is whether the person you "love" is really the person that you think he is. It's very possible for you to be infatuated with your fantasy of what you want this person to be. And people are more apt to lie or exaggerate about themselves online, often just because they can. With everyone and his brother online nowadays, you really don't know who's on the other end.
Then you have to decide whether it's smart or not to pursue a relationship with someone you really have no idea about. Until you actually meet that person and get to know them, you really don't know anything about him.
Be careful about that, ok?

It's not wrong in it's entirty, but it is very problamatic. Expecially now a days..
must i tell you about net predators and all those creepy liers.
They do exist.
My neighbour got arested like 2 months ago and i had no idea why. Our whole community loved the man because he was awsome and funny, but somone came to tell me the shocking news lot many days ago. She and some friends told me they found out from a reporter that he got arrested for raping an underage teen that he met off the ineternet and invited to the park which my little neice goes to play at, I'm freaked out and it;s hard to trust anyone anymore except my family...
keep your eyes open honey.
The world is not what it was..

I used to laugh at the people who fell in love with someone from the internet but I can't do that now as that happened to me as well. I met him on 360 and he is the BEST thing that has happened to me :)

It's not wrong. I've been with him for 5 months over the internet, and everything is going great.

No, it's not wrong as long as you are both free. One word of caution though, is to make sure that he/she is a decent person and not a perverted. If you feel comfortable and go slowly it might be a great thing...good luck!!! ( I am jealous) lol

Be careful as you would in any relationship. I did and he was not what I thought. (nothing weird, just emotionally immature and superficial) I guess there is heartache to be found everywhere. Go for it, this might be the one.

No not at all. People are people. Don't matter where you met them. You can find good and bad people off or on the computer. Congrats!!!
