Why do they just give a blank stare like freekin zombies!

I don't see why not. I went to the mall this weekend, and I saw a Christmas tree staring me in the face! Why should they look at u any different?

I don't see why you're insulted since you obviously did it for the attention. People stared. So what. It means nothing. It doesn't mean you're weird, it doesn't mean they're weird. It doesn't mean you're different, or they're sheep. You're just a regular teen who wears obnoxious accessories, which is surprisingly the same thing 98% of teens do!
Joking aside, if you hadn't wanted people to stare at you, you wouldn't have worn a Santa hat in the first place.
Also something to think about: maybe they aren't staring at your hat. Maybe your pants were unzipped or maybe you have tumorous features on your face like acne.

Maybe because they thought it was a little early for the Santa Hat. Wait until after Thanksgiving then try it again.

Since you were impersonating the likeness of a fictional character, I would think people would stare. Yes, humans are weird like that, so If you dont like the attention take off the hat.

My guess is that the reason you wore the hat was to attract attention. I find it odd that you seem supprised people starred at you wearing a santas hat in October

Well, no offense, but you know it is October. So they might be looking at you because Christmas isn't near. So I don't really blame these people cause as i picture it in my head it would look weird.
