Do you spend more time with your computer than family even when you are home not working?

Question

I was not surprised to read that people spend more time with their computers over their spouses or significant others.
Do you think this "overbusyness" is healthy or do you simply attribute it to societal and economic expectations for this web based generation.

I do. I know its bad, but I'm always on the computer at home, looking or reading something.

Well, when I come home from work, I usually spend about 4-5 hours on the computer. My boyfriend is at work, so I won't spend any time with him anyway. But when he's not working, I may just get on the computer to check my email and that's it. I try not to stay on it too long, I start getting cramps in my wrists if I do.

Relevant question! No. But computers take up the time left after work and bonding with the children. Family first, followed by work.Computers are under entertainment. Its takes a slice out of socials and book reading. Gardening suffers also so I shifted to ZZs,sanse and euphorbias.

yep, my family is a little bit weird. so i try to avoid them by saying im doing my homework on the computer

i am here to have people to talk to i usually get off when my husband gets home he wants the computer. he will just stand over my shoulder and watch until i get off

nop, too much electronics is not healthy, that is what converts someone into a couch potatoe, wich leads to lazyness, wich in turn leads to obesity and depression etc..

I stay in my room when I am home while my family is in the living room.

it is not healthy, maybe a person is trying to get away from their spouse.....
