I wanted to study abroad in Perugia next fall.. does anyone know how the nightlife is there? Or if it is close to places with a good nightlife? Thanks!

There are lots of bars and pubs near the main piazza.
My daughter studied there earlier this year and found lots of places to go to. She rented her own room in a share apartment and had a wonderful time, meeting people from all over the world. The apartment was inside the old town walls, about 5 or 10 minutes easy walk from the Uni.
I'm sure you would have a great time, too.
The university also organises trips at weekends away at a very reasonable cost.

I'm not living in the region and I'm too old to have direct experience of it but surely Perugia must offer many opportunities at night. It's a town with really a lot of foreign students attending its University and in Italy wherever is the young people there is a nice nightlife.
During yr staying there you may also go sometime to Florence (abt.100 miles far from there and with easy comnnections either by car or by train) and there you'll find whatever you like to do/ to see.

Perugia.. BORING!!!!
You are going to have to head to Roma or Firenze to find some spice in your life.......
to max it out head to Milano!

The best thing to do in Perugia is going to perugina chocolate factory and eat chocolate till you die! Oh, by the way,the downtown area is very pretty! and the vistas are magnificent!

buona fortuna!
