Take a boat ride in forest park. Go to Laumier Sculpture park - they have an archway that has all sorts of hearts on it. Walk through the Japaneese Garden at Mo Botanical. Take night cruise on a riverboat like the Huck Finn an smooch on the top deck. Visit the Art Museum and view some of the famous nude paintings. Go to the Loop and visit some of the little shops and have a great dinner at Rydels. Ride one of the bike trails and take a picnic in a back pack to eat at one of the parks along the way. Walk the trail at Jefferson Barracks park at dusk and stop to watch all the deer come out to play. Go to ethnic groceries like Jays on Grand and get ingredients to make a fun dinner together. Drink coffee and have a great pastry outside at Soulard coffee garden.

The Botanical Gardens, certainly. Lots of out of the way, "secret" little places that are perfect for stealing a kiss. It's where my fiance proposed, and where we first said "I love you."
Here's our favorite romantic day: A trip to the Gardens, followed by a short drive to the Central West End to eat at Dressel's because it's cozy with the small booths and fireplace. Then, to Left Bank Books, so that we can find books to read to each other, or so we can quote love poems to each other. Then maybe, since we're close to the park, if it's raining or too cold, one of the museums. Most of this stuff is free, with the exception of Dressel's, which is not terribly expensive.
You could pack a picnic and take it to Art Hill at sunset. Or try fondue at the Melting Pot. Or go to the ice rink at Forest Park once it's cold enough. If it's not open late enough, you could go to the St. Louis Mills rink. Then you could warm her up with coffee or hot chocolate from a nice little coffeehouse.

I think the horse carriage rides are terribly romantic!

A walk through the zoo in the fall is a lot of fun, too!

Also, my daughter and her boyfriend did the paddle boats in Forest Park, came home and got read and went to see a play at the Fox together. She loved it!
