Please, let's remember that words mean things and are important. He (and many like Lou-including myself) are anti-ILLEGAL immigration. Illegal is the word that this entire argument pivots upon and must not be allowed to disappear in the conversation. Otherwise, the people who abhor enforcement of our laws and prefer anarchy to the rule of law can start defining the terms to make folks who want the border enforced appear racist.

The whole term "anti-immigration" has a built in connotation of racism or at the very least a sense of harsh ethnocentrism.

Lou Dobbs is not opposed to immigration. He is opposed to ILLEGAL immigration.

Legal immigration is where each candidate is checked to verify that he/she does not have a criminal or terrorist past and is free from contagious diseases, such as the drug-resistant TB found in many of the illegals.

Illegal immigration involves anybody making a run across the border, regardless of their background or health. A person who starts out in this country ignoring the laws will have little regard for them in the future. That is why the California prison population is 30% illegals.

Lou Dobbs is the only person on television that will tell the truth about the foreign invasion our country is being subjected to. Our elected officials are bought and paid for by large money organizations.
They are illegal aliens, not undocumented workers.

I don't agree with Lou Dobbs on a lot of issues, but his view on ILLEGAL immigration is right on the money. I agree with the poster above, the word ILLEGAL is often left out of the immigration debate. No one has a problem with legal immigration, but when our laws are broken to enter our country, those people need to be sent back.

Lou Dobbs is the ONLY person publicly speaking about the NAU and how and why it is affecting illegal immigration.
