It's not right or wrong, it depends on how comfortable both of you are discussing such things. Some people are more comfortable than others.

It depends what you are telling your partner, some things are better off left unsaid. Sometimes when you tell your partner certain things later it may come back in your face as being used against you; therefore just think before you speak, most times us as females do talk to much, we give up to much information to soon. so think of it like this, when you first get a new job they put you on a 90 day trial check right, with no benefits or anything until after those 90 days. Well try that with your relationships and if after those 90 days you are getting benefits that are really worth having, then give up a little of your self but not all, remember somethings are better off left unsaid.

wel it depends on what you want to share . if your talking about your ex loves then no this is not really nice how would you like it if he wanted to talk about his ex's, but then again it also depends on how close you are and how much trust you have. ultimately there should be 100 % trust and you should feel comfortable chatting about anything, if its things that have bothered you in the past like a child hood memory or something like that then go for it coming from both ways you should be understanding, but also remember this. the past is the past and you now have a new life and a big future ahead with your new husband..... i hope i have not confused you!

It really depends on the comfort level of the couple. We have both talked and asked about each others past but we are ok with that but know this... if you are going to ask or tell it is not ok to later throw this information back in the other persons face or use it to hurt.

Turn it around. How much would you like to hear about your partner's past? Do you want to hear details about past partners?

If you want to talk about things like past experiences with work or school or family, why not? I would keep the real personal stuff to myself.

Well, it depends on what context - if you say something like, 'well my ex never minded me doing that' it's wrong - not everybody is the same, but if you, for example, saw somebody doing something you didn't like, and said, 'that's why I got rid of my Ex for doing that' then I suppose it's alright - just don't keep comparing though, and don't make them the main topic of conversation, remember the meaning is in the word, 'Ex' as in past, gone and forgotten, not to be bothered with again...........

why wait till your married? It seems like something from your past would be discussed before marriage. My husband knew my past and vice versa before we married. At least the parts that would concern him anything else doesn't really matter I think anyway.

considering the past is what develops one as a person... wouldn't you want to know about your partner's past before you get married?
