Francis Ford Coppola's adaptation is more of a romance between Mina Harker and the Undead Prince--doesn't focus much on the horror aspect of it.

The Fountain is also a love story with the same theme as Dracula--love never dies....

Apples and oranges, my friend.

For sheer campy joy, Bram Stoker's Dracula. For thought provoking artsiness, The Fountain. For great acting, The Fountain. For incredible special effects, The Fountain. For blood and guts, and period piece aesthetics, Dracula.

...erm, yes, I suppose they are both about a love that never dies (I have read the book Dracula more recently than I have seen the movie, so I forgot about the whole Mina-is-Dracula's-wife angle). But really they are both two different movies, aside from the loved one reincarnated connection.

Dracula. The movie was incredibly lush. The soundtrack only helped to immerse yourself in the movie. Still one of my top ten movies.
