No, harsh treatment didn't stop the bombings in Madrid and in London, BUT neither did Spains capitulations to the terrorists. Remember the Spanish elections? The terrorists threatened to start taking actions against Spain if they didn't change the direction of their government. The Spanish did, and voted out the pro-US government for an anti-US government. How long after the elections did the terrorists blow up the train station in Madrid?

I do understand what you are saying because I speak english . . . I do, however, think that you should spend a little more time worrying about people who are killing our soldiers in Iraq and people who want to kill you than worrying about known terrorist detainees. Will you? nope.
