I wouldn't worry about it. Several products like that -- Lanicaine, Chiggerex, etc. -- have benzocaine or something similar as one of their active ingredients. It makes the bite go numb when you apply it, and apparently you got some on your tongue when you ate. =) It should wear off around when your bites start getting itchy again, maybe a little before.
Although, as everyone else said, if you start having a reaction, call 911. Seeing as you've put it on your bites without incident, though, I seriously doubt anything will happen.

Your numb tongue could be via stretching or bruising of the nerve while the injection grow to be given. Its particularly achievable to have an altered sensation after the interior sight anaesthetic and hopefully over the years that's going to gradually get greater valuable. it would take a short whilst nonetheless. meanwhile do no longer drink something too warm on that side and don't bite on your tongue! Cos you will no longer experience any injury.

Unless you happen to be allergic to it you will be fine. The numbness will go away, though it may take some time. Give it a maximum of a couple of days for that to happen.

If your tongue or the insides of your mouth is swelling, call 911 NOW.
If you are having trouble breathing, call 911 NOW.
If you are feeling some severe itching in your tongue or mouth, call your doctor NOW.
If it's just numb, it should wear off.

Cassie, you will be fine...however...do not swallow much if you can help it...rinse your mouth if you can...Lanacaine can make you sick if you ingest to much...let me know how it turns out for you...it should only stay numb a few minutes...maybe fading off over an hour or so....take care!

lanicane wears off...if your tongue swells...get medical attention or look on the insert to see what you should do if some gets injested.
Next time...and always; wash your hands before eating!
