It seems plain to me ! Your religon is fine ! It does not have a place in the white house . If the president was say Muslim or Buddist he would never get elected . The christians or Jewish or Catholic would never vote for him no matter how qualified . So is this un American to judge him on his religion ??? Think about it . AND NO I AM NOT AN OBAMA FOLLOWER . I think religion and government need to be separated as the constitution provides >.

There is nothing here that even remotely suggests that religion does not have a place in the White House.
Don't you find it strange, that everyone "credits" Thomas Jefferson with coining the phrase "separation of church and state" (he DID make this statement) however, he also attended church services held in the capitol building, even leading the services at times. If he felt so strongly that religion has no place in government, why was he using government property to attend worship services.

I think that religious involvement was assumed . . .

No government establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof - just like the constitution.

PS. Any religious based law regarding who can or can't be President would violate the free exercise clause. Get over it.

The government is barred from making such judgements based on religion, but the voters aren't. Anyway, Obama isn't Muslim.

But school is a government institutions. So prayer in school can be viewed as establishing a religion.
