We would like maybe a Comedy, Magic, or Acrobatic show. Anything worth the time and money.

This is actually a pretty simple answer, I mean as far as magic go, I've seen them all..... Lance Burton, Rick Thomas, Hans Klok and many more, but for my money, you just don't get any better than David Copperfield, the shows is fun, interactive with the audience, it's also comedic believe it or not, and of course, absolutely amazing.
For the Cirque de Soleil Shows, I think you have a pretty safe bet on any of them....
Zumanity - very sensual and entertaining show (my favorite)
Mystere - the acrobatics here are simply jaw-dropping and amazing
KA - the stage is huge and the aerial acrobatics are something everyone should see.
O - beatiful theatrical performance on water....
Wayne Brady - Well..... nice guy but can't imagine picking him over so many incredible shows in Vegas
Lance Burton - Good show if you can't get tickets to Copperfield

Oh and almost forgot, If it is your first time to Vegas, DO NOT forget your camera, and if its a digital, don't forget your charger.... you'll want to take hundreds of pictures while you're there.....

You picked a few good ones. If you like Cirque de Soleil, O, Zumanity, Mystere or La Reve are great shows. Penn and Teller are great Comedians and Lance Burton is a great Magician. What is a must is Mr. Las Vegas Wayne Newton. Also the new show "All you need is love" at the Mirage is a great show.
The possiblities are endless.

if $ is not a concern, any of the cirque du soleil shows are fantastic but if he is still performing there, I'd also highly recommend Danny Gans. I'd skip Lance Burton, Penn & Teller, & Wayne Brady. Also avoid Le Cage Aux Folles at the Riveria & Folies Bergere at the Tropicana (I hope they've already done away with this one).

P&T are great. But the Cirque shows are wild. Blue Man Group is really entertaining too.

i actuall seen lance burton he was ok.... but i bet penn and teller would be the poop!
