Didn't you answer your own question? It's practically impossible to win 162 games in a row. Just think about it: no NFL team has ever gone 16-0. The longest streak in the NBA is 33 straight. Of course, 162-0 would be the greatest achievement in sports history, especially when 122-40 is almost impossible to attain. Now, a better question might be: Will any pitcher (with 20 or more victories in a season) ever go undefeated? I think this is very unlikely, but has at least a semblance of a chance of happening.

The major league record for wins is 116, I believe, held by the Cubs and Mariners. A couple of NBA teams have gone past 70 wins, but that's a far cry from 82-0.
