We were thinking name our baby Alisa MacKenzie, but pronouncing it A-lyssa. My moms name is Lisa and my dads name is Kenny. Does anyone else have any other ideas?

Alisa is pretty pronounced as A-lee-sa. Of you want it pronounced as Alyssa, spell it that way. Mackenzie is also nice, with a lowercase k. If you want you could make Mackenzie the first name and call her Kenzie or Mackie. Just a suggestion. Good luck!

lol... please don't do kennelisa.

I met a Kensey once... named for her dad Kent. Kinsey? Although people might think of Alfred Kinsey for that. Maybe just Kenzie or Kenzy - that's cute.

If you name her Alisa, everyone will probably keep pronouncing it A-lee-sa, because I also know an Alisa that has the same problem (her name is pronounced Alissa). Alissa is nice with its own spelling like that.

PS I just read Kennedy and Kendra from another answer below... both very cute.

Alisa MacKenzie is nice.

I like mixing names too. How about Kennisa? Good Luck!

I love it! I especially love the spelling of Alisa. Much prettier than Alyssa in my opinion. Though people will forever pronounce her name incorrectly.

I think that that is adorable! I love the idea of naming your daughter after your parents, especially as they have been there for you your whole life!!!

I love Alisa MacKenzie because it is a subtle but moving tribute to family.

Don't change it!

Yeah that's actually really cute.
But actually pretty original.
I like the MacKenzie idea but.
I'm not a fan of the name Alisa/Alissa.

I like unique names.
Like...:
•Elena
•Adelina [Ah-day-lee-na] < •Audra
•Laurisa
•Nydia
•Ellie [Elizabeth]

Good luck. Stick with Alisa MacKenzie if you'd like.
It's original, but darling!

I like it, but I think a lot of people will pronounce it A-lee-sa instead of Alyssa. Just because you spell it with a y doesn't mean it doesn't honor your momma.

I also like Kyna Elise

Yes go with a name that you want to name your daughter and it doesn't have to be related to mom and dad.
