You cannot say 'Their lust of blood.' it's got to be 'for'. The use of the word ;'of' indicates an emanation like 'The lure of the sea.' or 'The price of oranges.' 'For' indicates desire or want.

Lust FOR blood, although you can just say "bloodlust"
