Right now I am a junior in high school and I am taking AP Lang. The class is not hard for me, but there are just too many books to read, and I am not the best reader, and we only have a certain amount of time to read each book.
Should I take AP Lit next year? If I don't will it look to colleges as though I am downgrading? I really don't want to be tied up my senior year with all the books.
I don't need them for college credit either, because I am going to major in Computer Science and they don't have English classes. Thanks.

EDIT: If I get a 3 or higher for one college I can get an elective credit.

If I get a 4 or higher for another college I can get another useless credit.

I took AP Lit my Senior year (after taking AP Lang. my junior year). It was great...but I also found it much easier. A lot of the books we read I had already read in other classes, and literary criticism is easier to write about and study than what we did the previous year (analyze language and rhetorical devices, etc.) It might look like you're downgrading, but not if you're taking a bunch of other AP's (like 2-3 or more.)

i'm taking AP Lit next year too. I took AP Lang this year, and it replace into lots of artwork. definitely, although, this is no longer person-friendly to decide how difficult the class would be for you, as there is no longer a particular direction define like there is for different AP instructions. It realyl relies upon on the instructor. you will in all probability get lots of essays to jot down, and a few at school timed writings. yet, you will handle. this is no longer that no longer person-friendly imo and all people unearths a thank you to regulate.

if you do well on the AP Lang exam, then don't take AP Lit...colleges only accept one of them anyway to satisfy the english class requirement...i am a microbiology major and i took both english APs and i did get number credits for both, but i only needed one to satisfy the english 3 class...so one was essentially a waste of time...and no it won't look like a downgrade at all...just take some other AP instead of it
