Academic Advisor here in Las Vegas - Withdraw from the course, as long as it wont effect your finaid. The "W" grade will protect your GPA, D+F grades stink and might effect you if you are trying to get a Scholarship that is based on your GPA

If that D drops to an F, the F is going to look a lot worse than a W. As long as you don't have too many Ws on your transcript, I think it's okay to have a W instead of a D, and most certainly an F.

Withdraw if:
1) You know the teacher doesn't curve (talk to the teacher).
2) You aren't limited as to the number of withdrawals you can have and you already have some.
3) Ask your financial aid counselor if it will effect your financial aid.

If you withdraw, then devote your extra time to your other classes & do as well as you can.
