They do, but not like it used to be. Once you even had to have a license and call sign, mine was/is KDU5227. you never forget it. I suppose, that like myself, many have sidebanders that reach beyond the highway and a couple miles.

Sure, but the lingo has changed.

They don't say "good buddy" any more. Now the say "Driver". Instead of colorful phrases, most of the chatter is plain English, wit a few vestiges of trucker slang such as "Bears taking pictures" for staties with radar, or "Harvey Wallbanger" for a drunk driver.

Yes, truckers still talk on CB's, but it's much less, since the advent of cell phones, and satelite radio, and good books on tape/CD.

My hubby drives and uses a cb still. But, he also uses his cell alot of times also. Not as much on that of course and no one else to interupt.
