I have never been to New York, but once I transformed my living and dining area into a makeshift New York, with a big mural etc....i surprised my honey with a "romantic" nite at home, his mom was sick in his home town of NYC......he was nearly in tears....I even had a catering company serve us...

i am hopelessly romantic and dinner anywhere with the right company would be romantic..
a few places spring to mind the best being my place lots a candles and lots a wine and some good conversation and some chilling background music and one of my home made lasagnes followed by brandy snaps and hagen das and a cuddle on the sofa with a romantic movie... later a massage with the baby oil that i have warmed up on the radiator.. and much later ( the next morning) a full breakfast in bed with champagne and a walk along the beach.... drive home the long way round and then roast dinner late afternoon before the flowers arrive for you with the chocolates..then a bit of fun as i try to pinch a chocolate from you.. more wine and an early night xxxx

When we say "romantic place" we often don't really mean the actual place but the situation.. Meaning wherever you may go, as long as you have the right atmosphere, you are alone and the mood is right... Imagine this: On the rooftop of a building of a small town. You see a piece of cloth laying on the floor with three-four candles lit. And then the person you like holding two empty glasses of wine inviting you near him.
Isn't that romantic?Well it isn't New York... :)

I`ve never been and suppose it depends on the definition of romantic. I mean you could have a meal by the riverside on a moon light nite were I live but you may have to be picky about the night or half close your eyes and use your imagination but it could still be romantic sorta

Yes I am. Location will mean little after I impress you with my romantic dinner for two in the park.

lol that's funny.....newho, no not really. i'm more practical. i would like to be more romantic, but i find really mooshy stuff to be humorous. so i tend to hurt ppl's feelings when i giggle at something inappropiately. I find telling guys up front that i'm not a romantic up front saves their ego's. Some still try though

No, it's not; however I am sure there are many romantic things about NY.

I guess I am a romantic person deep down inside

Yes and no to NY unless you want to get mugged or shot, if you want to have romantic dinner then I would rather be mugged or shot in Paris

I am. But I'm the type of person that you would never think that of. I guess it's cool. It's something I like to keep to myself. ^_^ I just can't help liking movies that are sappy and happy.
