That is where I have been at for quite some time Ginny and am now doing what i need to do to work through it and it is hard when you see yourself and see you it happening but you can't stop it , it's there and the world is joyless to you but you continue on and tell yourself that it will get better someday, but that day only comes if you take that first step and then continue the road to freedom from depression, however long it may be.

Depression is always a concern specially for middle age women, that's what the statistics say and for me is true. I have to make an effort to keep my exercise routine and above all to keep a social life. I have a lot of great friends but if I allow myself to get lazy I don't even want to speak on the phone...so yes, depression keeps me on my toes but, it could be a good thing as I have to force myself to be more involved and active.

Absolutely. I increase my activity, stick to a schedule, talk to friends and family even tho I may not feel like it, do a task so I have something to feel proud of, do something nice for someone, take a walk, go online, work in my garden, just do something! Something you love or something you have been putting-off. Start slowly and don't try to do everything at once.
For me that is the key. Don't just sit around thinking and feeling the bad thoughts and emotions. It's hard to cry when jogging.

Bless all of you who suffer along with me, and I hope I have helped even one of you.

I've been there before, but not at present.
When it comes on, I hope to be strong enough to head it off. Sometimes friends help with their good advise.

Yes. I focus on the cosmic flow of life while I am reciting my mantra, and after ten minutes it's all healed for at least a day.
