I gave birth on 9/13, my baby was born premature (at 23 weeks) but I gave natural birth. I am wondering how long before I get my period. I bled from the time of birth till last Saturdays and then I started bleeding again on Thursday. Is it safe to assume that this is my period?

just ask the doctor...it will obviously be irregular for a bit since you did give birth less then a month ago...they usually say that you should bleed somewhat heavy because you have had a period for a long time...

If you are nursing, your period may not come back until you stop nursing. That's about the right time for a period, starting on Thurs. I'd assume it's a period until something makes me believe otherwise.
