I keep hearing people say this phrase. All of the gays and lesbians I know go to work, complain about the boss, go to happy hour, go home to their lover, take a weekend trip to somewhere boring, chat about last night's game, and read the paper. It doesn't sound any different from a heterosexual "lifestyle".

Simply shows that you are an observent person that recognizes that there is no homosexual lifestyle or agenda. You have observed that they are no different than any other people they work, they play, they laugh, they cry, they have fears, they have joys.

Shelly M, How many of your hetro friends are social busybodies? Plan parties, fuss over the details, go to bridge clubs, or have political connections that they are heavily involved in. How many of your friends are part of a political group that fights for say better schools or better social concerns like street crime or social reform such as racial issues or discrimination. What you described in your two gay friends were to people that reflect from the hetro community the busy bodies that get involved in everything. NOT a LIFESTYLE but the activities that people have passions about, that make them feel they are doing something for their cause. Ever thought about the socialite that is in everybody elses business as in match making? Those two you spoke of were nothing more than the noise little busy body doing their thing. I hope you see the compareson.

I have two friends, they have been partners for over 40 years. They are so much like a hetro couple after 40 years that if you listened to the dialog each night you would not know the difference. OK??

NO agenda, NO lifestyle. Simply people in a loving relationship being people.

Step back and take another look at your friends and you will see them differently now I hope.

It doesnt really exist thats just a word made up by people that want to divide everyone up and slap on labels
you can hardly ever put a group of people under one definition people are just too different you can try it at home call up all your friends and family and tell them you will pay for dinner theres no limit just pick a place see if everyone will agree on the same place

This was a wonderful question, and the answers, including Tom J's (since removed) offensive rant, went a long way towards revealing the truth behind the so-called "homosexual lifestyle."

the only difference between gays and straights is who we are attracted to. there is no such thing as a "homosexual lifestyle" or "agenda." I don't know where people come up with such junk. I work full time, pay my bills and taxes on time, eat, sleep just like anyone else does.

The homosexual lifestyle is a fantasy cooked up by certain politicos and religious bigots to attack the GLBT community. These people make a large living by using their lies to curry votes and contributions. The worst ones are the hypocritical ones: politicos like Craig and religious ones like Haggard, because they attack us while they are out there having closeted gay sex.

Thats because there is no difference between the two except for the people they choose to partner/be with in their life. Some heterosexuals have more exciting and crazier lives than homosexual people.

THANK YOU!!! It's just like the homosexual agenda. My homosexual agenda is to get groceries, do the laundry and find a new job. This is to support my homosexual lifestyle of going to work and spending time with family and friends.

I have these two friends that are flaming queens: Mark & David, aka Monica & Kirsten. Their lives pretty much revolve around organizing activities down at our local gay bar, namely drag shows. They are ALWAYS buying new wigs, gowns, flamboyant jewelry and accessories. They are super-involved with "pride" this, "rainbow" that. As a matter of fact, they pretty much eat, sleep, and breathe all that is GAY. And if THIS isn't an example of "gay lifestyle", I don't know what IS!

The "homosexual lifestyle" is a term used by people that do not approve of homosexuals, and apparently the way they live their lives. I think its just stupid.
