I CHECKED MY MAIL ON MYSPACE THIS MORNING AND HAD A MESSAGE FROM A LADY THAT I HAD ACCEPTED AS A FRIEND LAST WEEK, SHE SAID THAT SHE LOVES MY PAGE AND GIVES ME TWO THUMBS UP FOR PAYING TRIBUTE TO THE LEGENDS OF COUNTRY MUSIC AND WENT ON AND ON ABOUT HOW SHE LOVES MARTY ROBBINS AND BLAH-BLAH-BLAH..AND THEN SHE LOWERED THE BOOM!! SHE SAID "HEY GIRL FRIEND I GOT SOME MERLE HAGGARD ALBUMS THAT I'M FIXIN TO PUT ON E-BAY AND SEEING HOW YOU'RE HIS #1 FAN, I THOUGHT I'D GIVE YOU FIRST DIBS!! HERE IS MY E-MAIL, I'LL GIVE YOU A GREAT DEAL"! I REPLIED AND TOLD HER THANKS FOR THE OFFER BUT I HAVE EVERY RECORDING THAT'S EVER ROLLED OFF THE HAG'S TONGUE AND TOLD HER THAT SHE SHOULD BE ASHAMED TRYING TO MAKE A PROFIT FROM THESE LEGENDS! I GAVE HER A PEICE OF MY COUNTRY MIND AND BLOCKED HER FROM EVER CONTACTING ME AGAIN..I STARTED MY SPACE PAGE TO SALUTE THE LEGENDS AND TO TRY AND KEEP THEIR MUSIC AND MEMORY ALIVE!

I think that trying to be someone's friend just to gain something for themselves is horrible.I used to go into the music chat rooms on yahoo. And at that time I had Merle and Tracy's pic on my profile and you would not believe how silly some of those people could get. Constantly IM'ing me asking me if I could get their song to Merle.One guy even took over the mic and sang a miserable thing and asked me to please have Merle contact him, I about LMAO.
I think you did the right thing by blocking her.She obviously seeked you out, hoping to make a few dollars instead of friendship.
