Yes. I lean Conservative but anyone who argues against scientific fact like evolution and big bang is an idiot.
Not to insult, I frequently wonder why liberals, who endorse evolution, would favor anything socialist (welfare, medicine, etc.) because socialism tries to negate survival of the fittest. Leftism eliminates natural selection completely.

Probably not.
I'm fascinated by by regerugged's answer. In fact consensus does make good science, if it is consensus among educated scientists. Consensus among garbagemen would be bad science. As for the flat earth, that was actually an impressive leap of logic, incorrect yes, but it put us on the road to cosmology. Brilliant minds took centuries to work out celestial mechanics. The labors of our earliest scientists contributed to later accuracy. That's how it works.
Relativity, electric theory, atomic theory, all remain "unproved," yet they are undisputed and we use them daily to our benefit. Why parade one's illiteracy? Baffling.

Evolution is the ONLY theory as the the origin of man. However, most don't know what a theory is, so they say it is "only a theory". When they say that, I hear "I am ignorant to science".
The Big Bang is also a scientific theory, and no religious belief has yet to become a theory.
It just depends on whether you get your knowledge from science, or from religion. And this isn't a political practice.
Edit: "If we evolved from apes, why are apes still around?" Learn what evolution says, then re-read this and realize how funny this question is to me.

Consensus does not make for good science. At one time scientists believed the world was flat. So-called scientist once believed the sun revolved around the earth.
When there is iron clad proof of the origin of man and the origin of the universe, I will believe it.

So, a ball of matter just happened to be hanging around, and one day decided to explode. Yeah, sounds like JUST a theory to me.

No they won't - contrary to all the patient findings and hard work of thousands of scientists.
58% of Republicans are evangelical christians who believe the bible is literally true, has no errors, never contradicts itself, and is absolutely accurate regarding history and science.
I think the proper word for them is "cracked".

No, they can't admit to facts. They apparently have told so many lies that that is all they believe in anymore.

Didn't I see you doing the same schtick on Religion & Spirituality. Seems you don't know any more about conversatives than you do about Christians.
