It's becoming a new trend for woman to to wear low cut tops exposing their cleavage. Is it really necessary? Do they think people will appreciate them better for exposing themselves?
Why do they do it?

Can we please cut down on the homo remarks thank you. I happen respects woman that respect themselves by covering up.
If a woman has little else to show other than her body she has very few other attributes, meaning she is telling the world she is dumb and proved of it. If a woman is showing her cleavage to manipulate again it isn't very ladylike of her.
I cannot see how this trend is respectful towards a woman. 60 years ago if a woman was dressed this way on the streets of America she was either considered a prostitute, or mentally incapacitated.
What has this fashion come to? Why do woman have to be looked down upon because they want people to think of them as sex objects? A woman is beautiful not because of her cleavage because of character, personality, ladylikeness

I will say that I am ONLY referring to woman who do sport an exposing cleavage not to all woman in general.
There are still very many sensible woman out there that value themselves enough not to lower themselves to such a low standard in the eyes of their fellow men.

It's not about looking
no not at all; it's about being in your face. In your face when you are walking the down the stairs, in your face as she leans over to show you something across the desk, in your face as she is standing at the front giving a speech, in your face as if to say; even if you tried to look somewhere else inevitably you will have to see my cleavage regardless.
If it's rude for me to turn away and look the other way while speaking to such a woman, it is even more so for her to give me no other option but to see her cleavage which I have no intention of seeing it.

Not all women do. I think ladies should cover it up a bit more, but most women do not respect themselves enough to do that

I think boobs just fascinate some men. Sometimes I wear low cut tops but usually with good support. Breasts are part of what I am as a woman and I don't think there's anything wrong with showing them off a bit if you have great ones. Damn, guess I'll have to watch the bending down a bit more.

Ok - I'm not one to show off my bits and pieces... but what if other women do? Are breasts not natural? In Europe you see plenty of semi-nude beaches, and no one gawks - because they respect the human body and the differences between male and female. What's the big deal? What is this fixation with mammaries? Let it go, man. FYI - that's what fed you when you were an infant...

It is fashion, it is a way to feed a woman's ego. It is not necessary we can each dress as we desire. We like to dress to be attractive and put forth a successful attractive image. Because so much attention has been put on women's breasts it is only natural as much as possible would become a fashion statement. However, it is not a new trend as you know women's fashions change all of the time. There have been many times in history when showing cleavage has been in fashion

The lady doesn't want this OR that. She wants this AND that. Cleavage reminds me too much of butt crack and is not that appealing.

i think it looks good on a lot of women ... it's not like they are almost exposing their nipples or anything ... blame the designers who are making the V-cut tops that low ... I wish I could wear that style but I look better with a scoop neck or a ballet neck and those don't do my cleavage any justice ... ... oh, well ... guess no new tops for me until the styles change!
