My English teacher spoke of a condition in class that sounded like "McCollum's syndrome" or something similar. It's when a person is kidnapped and at first hates their captors and their cause, but after a while becomes sympathetic to their cause after spending so much time in captivity with them. Please help, I want to mention this condition in my paper for tomorrow and look smart :) Thanks

This is called Stockhome syndrome. The Patty Hearst kidnapping was a good example of this.
