I am an atheist however I do not feel compelled to spread the truth as I know it to those who do not wish to know it. Should I be spreading the truth to religious people or should I just let them believe in falsehoods?

I found that ignorance is bliss....let people believe what they want....as long as they're happy, why change them. For me, i'd rather know Objective Reality...

I don't think you need to go out and intentionally spread atheism.

But that doesn't mean you should keep your mouth shut out of over-politeness every time a religious discussion comes up. If the believers all get to put their two cents in, why shouldn't you?

Well, do as YOU wish. You are your own person. Yet undecidability is an existential truth in Man.

But think of this, if God does not exist, then there's is no true meaning to the universe, no foundation for Morality, and we end up in a Darwinistic world alla Sartre where you and I create our own values and compete.

Yet, we still follow laws that were constructed by other men and they are what limits us.

Respect others for what they believe, I'm sure you would not like Christians to "spread the truth" as they see it, to you... Agree to disagree

I don't waste my precious time, I am perfectly happy with myself and what I believe, I sometimes give my opinion, but that they can take for whatever its worth to them, other than that I mind my own business, I expect the same in return.

Well, even if you tried to get people to stop believing in the crap they believed in, it wouldn't work. I've tried it. You'd have better progress if you beat them half to death with a bat... maybe.

nope. Live and let live is the best philosophy. From their point of view, you are the one who's wrong, just as you believe they're wrong. Neither one of you is going to convince the other to change your mind. So... just live and let live.

You need not "spread" it nor "defend" it. But when I discuss it, I'm discussing it. That is all.
