dads are always so proctive over their daughters and not sons. i no from experience that they worry about daughters much more and i know that they arent as safe with all different kinds of people out there but why dont they trust their little girls. im a real daddys girl (even though he is my stepfather and is very overproctective and gives me a very early curfew) and i know that he wants to keep me safe but he knows that im not a bad girl.
***not that the question is only for them but dads imperticuarly answer this please***

Gabbi, i am a dad of two boys and one girl. I love my little girl and wanted to keep her safe. She is married now and she gave me two grand kids. i am proud of her. I trusted her to stay out of trouble, and she did. But i was worried all the time she was out with the boys. My boys are good boys too. They never gave me no trouble. I guess we worry over the girls most, because we know what the boys want.Hell i am not sure. I have never thought of it in that way.

You missed the point of his protectiveness. Don't you watch TV? Girls and women are targets for PERVERTS. It's a whole different concern for a son or a daughter. Sons are normally not a potential target.

Because little girls are so fragile and tiny and dads feel like they must be there to always protect them and love them and watch over them so noone can ever hurt them. Boys r suppossed to grow up to be tough strong men so dads kinda let them figure it all out on their own!!

I don't believe he acts that way cause he does not trust you........he is more wise as to what is out there on those streets waiting for innocent young ladies' ; such as yourself. He is just wanting you to stay safe in his keep! Just hush up and listen and you will be wiser for it and better for it. Trust me ....... a 59 year old mother/grandmother who didn't believe the grownups and got herself in a wirlwind of trouble .........Be good and grow up knowing that your family really does love you!

well my dad wasnt the only one but also my older bro. and they are like that b/c the are men and they know theyre own kind.
EX: sex is the big deal b/c guys look for that more than anything and since our dad is a guy theres your question.
also we are much less stronger then them and they think we cant fight back or nothing
