I have cant remember the name but its such a good story: I know a few users of the Egypt section on here would really like it.
It was written in Arabic/ Egyptian approx 20 years ago- it was banned In Egypt but then it came on sale few years ago then it was translated into English and perhaps Italian, Perhaps its still banned in Egypt?
Anyway------
The story is about a young man called masry, that the poor father of the young man does a wasta' for the omda of thier area and the young man replaces the son of the omda to do the military service, and the plot is about how the plan happens for the boy to cover another boy and take on his identity. Its a really good story - fiction but could be so close to non fiction and thats why it was banned because the goverment didnt want anyone getting any ideas! I would really like to know the name of it. Thanks
