Everyone is saying it means to take someones virginity. You can take someone's virginity and not pop their cherry. When a female is a virgin and finally has sex, there is a point where you break her in completely and she bleeds (which is where the cherry part comes in to play). Its not a bad thing to bleed because it will happen when someone finally breaks her in. It may not happen the first time. Say that the females "first" has a small penis or one that doesnt fill her in then she may not bleed. Now the next person or whenever she gets to the person who fills in the walls properly (usually a bigger penis), will POP HER CHERRY. After a cherry is popped, she may bleed for the rest of that session of s3x. Not constantly as in running blood but enough to see and feel. Its sick but it will happen. To get rid of the bleeding, you have to go through it. The bleeding stops shortly after s3x. Now a cherry can be popped more than once. For example: say the guys penis was only big enough to break her point of virginity then she only bleeds a little or even a lot. The only way you know if you broke it completely is when she has s3x again. If she bleeds again or some at all, her virginity was broken but not to the point where her cherry was completely popped. If this happens it means that you bursts her cherry. When she stops bleeding completely during s3x, YOU POPPED HER CHERRY.

When a female virgin has sex the male "pops her cherry" i forget the name of it but its a thin piece of skin inside of her vagina that breaks the first time you have sex.
