a cool way to put foreshadowing into your story is have a character have a dream about something that could happen later in the story. The dream shouldnt be exactly what will happen but use symbols to describe the situation.

BY DEFINITION, foreshadowing means seeing into the future. most of the time, it is used as a phrase
Example
By his dire prediction, he was foreshadowing the end of life as we know it.
that's a fair way to use it. That's the basics of it all.. Foreshadowing and foretelling go hand in hand and are very similar

its really easy. Let me give you an example: In Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, he uses foreshadowing in many ways. One that stuck out to me is an old useless dog got shot in the back of the head, well, Lenny, a useless person, gets shot in the back of the head in the end. Basically, to round this all up, use an indirect hint. If one of your characters is, let's say, dying of a disease. You would have a family pet die of some sort of illness, close to the one your character gets. You get it? If i confused you worse, sorry :D

What about an English class teacher who lives a double life as an Incredible Hulk monster, with poorly written student papers being the trigger that causes the transformation?

Use symbolism. Like for example a boy likes to play football everyday every hour. That could forshadow to being a pro or getting an injury. Football is the symobolism.
