Would you rent your costume , buy it or be creative and make your own with your imagination???

This year I am making my own---a character I call Old Man Autumn. a battered top hat covered with cobwebs and autumn leaves, face and hands made up as aged wood, a dark cloak, again with webs and leaves (and perhaps a spider or two), and a long staff with a small jack-o-lantern flashlight at the tip!

What fun! A halloween party. I am creative and have sewn many costumes in my lifetime. I would do so again.
I would stay in the Halloween theme regarding my choice of costume. A witch, vampire, ghoul, etc. That's what Halloween is all about! And the makeup would be outrageous.
BTW, sometimes I still dress up for Halloween and greet the kids, or should I say scare the kids, when they come trick or treating - LOL.

I would make my costume since it would have to be detailed to my body measurements and have exactly what I want on it since I am trying to make it as authentic as I can yet be creative at the same time..I would have two choices: a greek woman in a toga, a wealthy greek with fancy jewelry and my hair done as they used to wear it..I would turn to my history books for more reference since I am a history major in college..My other choice would have to be dressed as Queen Elisabeth,the Virgin Queen..I would love to dress in a corset inspired outfit, be creative and make the wholel costume old with new ideas here and there..I would love to wear this costume because of its complexity and to see how back then the queens had to dress as well trying something more daring

A perfect question this coming Halloween. I will be creating my costume to use my creativity to be the best horror maker. I will drive others feel eerie and tremble, That's the purpose of halloween party anyway. Ofcourse enjoyment is always there. Thanks for asking, Rena. You have a great day!

I would come as a wicked old hag of a witch...with warts, hair growing out of my nose, and green hair blackened teeth, bad breath and a laugh that would scare the dead back to life. I make my own custume, a huge bellowing black cape with a pointie hat and danging silver chains with cooked critters on the end of them....hehehe....

I bought an "I dream of Jeannie" Costume. I am going to do my makeup, put my hair up in a ponytail and I am done.
Will there be lots of candy at your party?!?

Hi Rena, I would be a ghost ,i would choose this costume because its the traditional one to pick. i think you should make your own costume.It could be more fun.
