I removed an old grease trap out of the ground but....?

it was leaking. Now the dirt has a bad smell. Is there a way to get rid of that without digging it all up?? Thxs,Caribbeangreetings from Sint-Maarten

not really. the smell is from rancid fat the leaked from the trap and has now been soaked up by the soil. you might try mixing some charcoal with the soil.
