This group's whole existence was pretty much based on that comic strip. Not only did they do "Snoopy Vs. The Red Baron" but also "The Return Of The Red Baron", "Snoopy For President", and "Snoopy's Christmas".

Wow. That was in the days when music was music and we had lots of variety. Here's the lyrics for you:-

After the turn of the century
In the clear blue skys over Germany
Came a roar and a thunder man has never heard
like the screaming sound of a big war bird.
Up in the sky, a man in a plane
Baron Von Richthofen was his name
eight-y men tried and eight-y men died
now where buried together on the country side.
Chorus.....
Ten, Twenty, thirty, fourty, fifty or more
the bloody Red Baron was running up the score
Eight-y men died trying to end that spree
of the Bloody Red Baron from Germany.

In the nick of time, a hero arose
a funny looking dog with a big black nose
he flew into the sky to seek revenge
but the Baron shot him down
...curses foiled again.....

(Chorus)

Snoopy swore that he'd get that man
so he asked the Great Pumpkin for a new battle plan
He challenged the German to a real dog fight
and while the German was laughing he got him in his sights.
The bloody Red Baron was in a fix
he tried everything but he run out of tricks
Snoopy fired once and he fired twice
and the Bloody Red Baron went spin-nin out of sight.

Chorus

Yes, I do (showing my age ; )

Thank God there isn't a "Crank Dat Snoopy Flyin' Ace" dance yet...*shudder*...some things are meant to be left alone.

Would you believe the boys have done a song called "Snoopy vs. Osama"??? I kid you not:

That's almost as scary as "Crank Dat Snoopy", surely...
