Yes. The more you know about yourself the easier it is to either accept or change the things you see. Once you know about the darkness in yourself you can strive all the more for the light.

In my personal opinion, I do not think you stand taller in the light when you have a deep dark side. You will always have it, no Matter if you stand in the Light.

The darkside only exists because of the light. One can`t exist without the other. I think I do stand taller in the light but it`s mainly because I`ve seen how dark it can get an it scares the sh*t out of me, I could get lost forever!!! so I strain as hard as I can to see the light. An` you all thought I was nice too.........

We all have the same deep dark and the tall light. The difference is a matter of proportion of one's life spent in any condition. Besides that, it isn't light, or dark, it isn't good, or evil. It is a spectrum and the Asians chose to represent the spectrum in ten stages, not two. It isn't a matter of good, or bad, it is a matter of how strong the dependence on the environment is.

Yes i agree Rena, I am aware of my darkside all to clearly.If i control my negative expects of my life.I can stand taller in the light.

I believe the dark side decreases how tall you stand in the light. And the darker, the shorter you stand.

I hope I understand you correctly. We need our Dark side also. Without the opposite force compelling us we would never know the other side. In fact I honor those who take the other role.

BUT...
sometimes I miss the darkness and I go to its side intentionally because I cannot bear the light for long time.
