there seems to be a deficit in being able to have a child physically and be mentally able to handle it ?
honestly , there are parents who married at 18 and worked through the hardships / over came the obstances and repeaped the rewards
there were not so many abortions available ... it was not legal or safe ...
i do fault the parents somewhat / the sexual revolution is here and there is no need for anyone to marry / have a partnership . a young couple / two people will have trouble raising a child. a single parent will find it even more difficult
i really think parents must prepare the child . the child needs to have established a relationship with a physician / be able to answer / ask questions / get birth control . and since you pay the doctor ... lol .. the doctor needs to privatly disclose this to you. you must never rat out your physician.
i would almost ask my physician to inject the kid with the birth control shot . tell the kid that this shot is a routine vaccination . there is still no protection from the sex diseases . this is not about taking a pill and no one knows. aids and these new diseases are very scary.

If you are old enough to make a baby you are not old enough to raise it. What you said does not make any sense. Age does not make much difference in how you can raise a child. Adults can have a low income, be a bad example for their children and not raise their children well just like teens who raise children can. Teens are not stupid but they just do not think that they can get pregnant. They think they are invincible. No I won't die from drugs, I won't get in a car accident when I am drunk driving, I won't get pregnant. It can happen to other people but it won't happen to me. This is just the way many teen's minds work. They want sex but they don't even think they could become pregnant. It is not the parent's fault because kids are told not to do this all of the time but parents cannot be constantly watching their kids. It is the girl's choice to abort though because having a baby as a teen ruins chances of college and many times they can not support the baby. Hopefully that is a lesson learned that sex can make a baby.

It is societies fault. Yes you can include the Parents in that group. It was on the news this morning of a 8th grade teacher leaving the classroom and two of the students had sex right their in front of everyone. What kind of clueless morally bankrupt morons are people raising today. The slut will probably get knocked up and want to keep the baby which WE will have to end up paying for.

Growth hormones in foods are causing children to be capable of conceiving at as young as 14, maybe younger. That's not old enough to raise kids. For most people, getting older isn't "growing up", that's something you have to do on your own time.
I do believe this problem is often a result of bad parents who did the same that their children are doing to their children, but it's not always the case. My ex gf's parents were 17 when they had her, and she's nothing like that.

Anybody who can have a baby is bioligically an adult. The average age of marriage in the USA a hundred years ago was between 15 and 17.
Now they call it "child abuse" and they either force the girls to have abortions or shotgun weddings.
It's not normal or healthy to wait until you 30's and 40's to have children. Meanwhile we are getting outbred by every sorry *** country in the world who's stated goal is to outbreed and destroy us.
Enjoy the US while you can - it won't be around that long.

Sometimes... no matter what you try.. a kid is going to mess up.. but for the most part I would actually agree that Parents are at fault for .... well... just not being good parents and teaching their children what they need to know in this world... and what really pisses me off is that these same parents that suck are the ones that pitch a fit often times when the possibility of teaching those skills at school is brought up.
I won't even get into the subject of abortion with you on this one.. I know we'd strongly disagree on that.

Kids need to take responsibility and the parents of these kids who want to be their friend instead of the parent. You can not be both so what should they do. Try doing the right thing and being there instead of letting X Box and TV and their buddies be their family.
And teach them their is not free ride and you play you pay.

They just wanted to have sex. But because they don't know about sex they got pregnant.
So who's fault is it really, still the parents because they didn't teach them what happens when you have sex.
What's better, an unwanted kid that ends up on death row at taxpayer expense and possibly the cost of another life, or an abortion now. The choice is clear like it or not.

A lot of it has to do with the media. It's shocking at how much sexual images teens see very day on teenage TV shows. The media wants more teens to have sex so there will be more abortions, bringing in more money.

I wish it was all that simple, bud...
"Kids" - as you refer to them - will ALWAYS be doing it, or have you totally forgotten your teen years?
Is it the parents' fault? Yes, but not totally. Depends how you look at it and your political position.
Con parents are resistant to comprehensive sex education in public schools, so in that sense, THEY are more responsible for teaching their children about sex and contraception.
I keep telling you and telling you...LOOK at the Netherlands. Their teen pregnancy rate is only 1/9th that of the USA.
Why?
Simple. Because they take sex education seriously and they put the onus on the PREGNANCY ~ not the sex!
Kids will always be "dumbos" if we don't get over our Puritanical hang-ups and educate them.
"Abstinence" programs aint gonna do it, bud...
