they are probably vanised between the drum and the rubber mantle on the housing which seals the door. so you'll probably find them back inside the housing.

You haven't been feeding your washer/dryer regularly or not a proper diet! LOL!

Seriously, there are actual reasons why socks and other small items get "lost" in the machine.

The best thing to do is purchase a "Laundry bag" ... a net bag in which you place those small items (also the "delicates" go in these bags, too) and use them for the small items. Got a lot of socks? GET MORE BAGS!! But don't overload them, or the items won't wash properly.

Good luck and GOOD CLEANING!

I realy have trouble believing that somepeople lose socks in the laundry. College for two years and I still haven't lost anything. I've actually gained a few items of clothing that I don't know where they came from.;-)

My son at that age wiped clean his room, picked up his laundry, toys and so on. A six year old can learn how to set or clean the dinner table, take out the garbage, feed animals and so on. i does no longer wait too long to furnish him a series chore or 2. in case you do no longer this is going to likely be no longer person-friendly to alter his conduct later. As for discipline, i do no longer discipline that throughout a distinctive way than you do, yet I do sense that distinctive misbehavior benefit categories of punishments. it will be logical. If he makes a large number, he cleans it up *himself*. If he's disrespectful, he maintains to be in his room until he could be. If he's doing poorly at school, then no television until homework and interpreting are completed. each and every so often a new child needs to have his privileges taken for an prolonged era than 10 minutes in his room. that regularly isn't lots of an incentive to no longer behave poorly. yet having television taken away for the evening could be. It only relies upon on the habit. a new child who's only out of control could choose only 10 minutes to cool down. A mouthy new child or individual who's disrespectful to others could desire to could desire to correctly known it will on no account be tolerated. you would be shocked what a competent carrot my sixteen year old daughter's vehicle privileges are. If she would not get reliable grades and guard her primary jobs, there bypass the keys. sons and daughters are not that distinctive.

Yes. Don't put even numbers of socks into the washing machine!

Yes, your washer is eating them!!! Darn it!!!! (smiles)
But actually you might be dropping one, or losing one before you put it in the washer??
There are bags that allow you to wash your sockes in it. You put all your socks in, and throw the whole bag in the washer. The bag is netted so it allows all the sox to wash.. Next time pin the sox together, or put them in a sox bag! Good luck!!!

it happens to us all, the dreaded washing machine gets a craving and snatches one of your socks as a quick snack. I find that safety pining them together before i throw them in the wash helps.
