Sharks never sleep. They have no swim bladder (which keeps fish floating), like other types of fish...so if they stopped swimming they would sink and die. Sharks have evolved with the ability to keep moving 24/7. If they slept, they would sink.

All of the 'vertebrates' sleep, some sleep oddly, like ducks sleep 1/2 of their brain at a time. The trick part of the question is what to include as an animal. How about a slug? How about a spider? If they are in the animal kingdom

and an invertebrate, they may not sleep, and all you need to find is one of them that doesn't sleep. I suppose you could argue that you need a brain for sleep (unless dormancy counts), so that is another trick in the question, many critters don't have a brain.
