Oh yes. I just seem to be so many people with so many sides and interests. Girl, mom, divorcee', girlfriend, sister, author, dancer, volunteer, partier, homemaker, liar, honest, musical, verbal, social~yet needs a lot of time alone... to many contrasts at war inside me to list.

How on earth can I reconcile all the parts of me? I believe everyone struggles with this all their life, however "it's not our circumstances that defines us, it is how we deal with those circumstances.".

Yes. My mind was racing at night. I was losing sleep. Everything became a conflict. Although I was attempting normal sleep, I was waking at 3:25 or 4:14 or 5:05.....all the times when I was normally in my deepest, most restful sleep.
Then, I remembered some advice I was given once: "Don't worry about the things you can never be in control of." So I let certain things go. Mostly global & political issues, for me....
Hold onto what you know is true, no matter what seemingly convincing statements "they" say. Notice they gradually change their perspective until at once you seem to realise their stance has completely changed. New "normals" become normal, that would've been unacceptable before.
The real question is: "Who are they?"

Yes, absolutely. At times like when I feel like that, I take a deep breath and I remember...my mind is creating the war, without my mind creating the war, there is no need for me to worry.

Yes. I often get the feeling that it is impossible to balance all the areas of life. One is always hindered by another it seems. You just carry on and work your way through it all.

Oh yes. My personal life is way at odds with my professional life. And I can't seem to find the energy to reconcile the two. Is it too late to run away from home and join the circus?
