I wanna know :-

1/ Element being oxidized and product of the oxisation???

2/ Element being reduced, and product of the reduction??

3/ the net ionic equation for the redox reaction.

Please help me :-(

1/ I- is being oxidized, and I2 is the product

2/ Br2 is being reduced, and Br- is the product.

Br2 + 2I- ===> 2Br- + I2

Br2 (orange-red) + 2 KI -> I2 (purple) + 2 KBr

(1) iodide -> iodine (ox # from 1 ot 0)
(2) bromine -> bromide (ox # from 0 to 1)
(3) Br2 + 2 I- -> I2 + 2 Br-
