really its just propaganda use by the dems to rally support. They are playing on the ignorance of the American public to get there polls up. First pres bush has not committed any impeachable offenses and it is the fact most Americans do not understand the word impeach and it use. Impeach just means "to be charged". When Americans hear the word being used many of them think that it means convicted but it doesn't. Bill Clinton was an impeached president as well as convicted for prudery.

While it is true that the Constitution spells out that Congress can impeach the President for High Crimes and Misdemeanors. there is NO penalty for lying about it during impeachment. Let me explain. The House of Representatives must pass a bill of impeachment. There is NO authority which requires it to be legitimate. The same goes for the trial in the Senate. There is no penalty for a Senator to say, "Yep, the SOB is guilty as sin." And then vote not to impeach, like Sen.Byrd did. He said terrible things about Bill Clinton and then voted against impeachment.
So, I think the Democrat controlled House SHOULD pass a bill of impeachment against the President. And then they should try him in the Senate. And, I think all the Democrat Senators SHOULD vote to remove the President, the same way they vote to not remove Bill Clinton.
That would send a wake up call to Americans everywhere! Of course, it would take 60 votes in the Senate to remove the President and there is no way they would get that many.

They have nothing, they think not liking the President is enough to impeach him. I like how they call this war illegal when Congress voted to invade Iraq. Now these same Congressmen and women are crying to impeach Bush. And that Cindy Sheehan threatened to run for Nancy Pelosi's office if she didn't get the ball rolling on impeachment of Bush.
