They changed the standards they built mobile homes to in 1976. Anything built before then is almost impossible to use as collateral since it was built to the earlier standards. You'll have to go with a lender that does a vacant land loan and use it as an improvement to the property, but have the loan done on the land.
It's a difficult loan to do either way, good luck!

Sorry, but you wont find any company willing to put a mortgage on that old of a trailer. It's worthless.... really.

The land is another story. If the land is valuable, you can probably get a land loan... but be prepared for higher interest (10% or so).

You are better off with a regular unsecured loan, or no loan at all. :)

Alot of places wont finance a loan for a moble home because of the depretiation of it. I know none of my banks here in my town finance for trailers or doublewides. Alot of the time you have to go with high intrest companies. It just isnt worth it. To be honest.

Mike is probably right, however if it's in pretty good condition on your own land you might give Greentree a call. They have a retail operation and do Mobile Homes. Good luck.

I know one place out of Bellevue. WA that will do them, I think they are nationwide but you'd have to check with them. They are called Bismark Mortgage. Their number is 425 283-5000.

They may be wholesale only. In that case they may be able to supply you the name of one of their approved lbrokers in Texas.

Good luck

Tough to find, since that vintage of MH typically has aluminum wiring and sub-standard plumbing. If it is in a park, you are dead in the water. If it is on its own land, you may find someone to loan on the land.

Good luck!
