There are atheists, however not all of atheists are Satan worshippers. There are people who aren't Christains, that doesn't mean they all atheists and/or Satan worshippers.
I do believe in god. I don't believe in Adam and Eve because they aren't the reason we humans had evolved.
Human beings evolved from apes who evolved into Hominids who evolved into Australopithecus Afarensis who evolved into Hom_ Habilis who evolved into Hom_ Erectus who evolved into Hom_ Hom_ Sapiens who evolved into Hom_ Sapians.
I had to leave out o of some of the words because yahoo took them the wrong way.
Loki, if you're reading this, I said in my Adam and Eve question whoever agrees or disagrees with the scientific theory not just me. I am not a troll. I didn't say I was god.

I know perfectly well this should be in the religion and spirituality section, however since there are so many people answering and asking questions in the genders and women's studies section, I knew I would get so many responses, positive or negative.

1) LOTS of Christians have no problem with evolution - even da freakin' Pope says it's a fact.

2) Humans and modern apes evolved from a common ancestor who was very clearly an ape (just an extinct one).

3) I am neither a Christian nor an atheist nor a satanist.

Religion, the war starter..

Okay religion is all about the mind, all about the person. Athiest means does not belive in a god at all. Christians believe in one god and there are so many branches ot it, it is very confusing. You have the Jews who are Christains but yet not because they don't believe in Jesus being the one who died for our sins.
The list goes on and on, and on for all Religion.
So people will believe what they believe and with the bible since it is like..a poem, everyone takes something else out it. Some see hell well others see life. Some see heaven well others see the doom.
So when a christain sees a non-believer they see a athiest when they might not be.
I hope you see what I'm getting at here.

Not only that but many of these Christians also assume that people who don't share their religious beliefs are also liberals. The interesting thing is that the biggest atheists I have ever met were staunch conservatives. I used to work with one back in the late 1980s and he used to go on and on about how Ronald Reagan was the greatest president ever. He was definitely an atheist and he thought that all religion was garbage.

I'm a Christian and I would just like to say that I don't believe atheists are satan worshipers. Everyone is entitled to believe what they want to. Don't be bothered over what some people think. Its so pointless and it takes too much energy out of people. I have a friend who is atheist. He does not even believe in satan. I am happy to have him as a friend because we are so different and we still manage to have a great friendship even though our beliefs are different. We don't let those differences get in the way.

I admit , I never have heard of this - if it's a trend . My guess is it would have to be a religious fanatic ..and God knows there are plenty to go around out there in the world . As a Christian , I would hope that the capacity is there in others to recognize that God is worshiped in all religions . Ones particular faith does not grant carte-blanche over somebody else's .

Have to agree with some of the others, this is the wrong section. But I always thought the same thing. Just because you believe something doesn't mean you have to convert everyone. That goes with every religion and every thought. Maybe that's why I tend to keep my beliefs to myself.

Why are you asking these questions here rather than in Religion & Spirituality?

People make such assumptions for the same reason that people assume that one must be either an atheist, a theist, or an agnostic: they haven't entertained or been exposed to other possibilities.

I think you could say this about any group of people?

Why do some "_____" think all people who aren't "_____" are infidels?

And I would love to see your proof of humans evolving from apes.

Personally, I believe the revelations from God that Adam and Eve were the first man and woman on this earth. but Whether the mortal bodies of man evolved in natural processes to present perfection, through the direction and power of God; whether the first parents or our generations, Adam and Eve, were transplanted from another sphere, with immortal tabernacles, which became corrupted through sin and the partaking of natural foods, in the process of time; whether they were born here in mortality, as other mortals have been, are questions not fully answered in the revealed word of God.

You have a brain, you can think what you want. You do not have to justify your thoughts to ANYONE. Evolution has not been a THEORY for the last 60-70 years. Charles Darwin call it a theory when he first started writing about it. It is excepted as fact now.
