Sure. Apart from a few prohibited pitches (such as the spitball) and some rules about pitching mechanics, there isn't anything in the books limiting how many kind of pitches you can throw. Having that many would complicate the signs given by the catcher, but there's nothing illegal about it.

There is no limit to the number of different types of pitches you can throw in a game.

he could, but he would probably suck. the more practice you can put into making just a few pitches good would be much more beneficial. if you have to divide you concentration on many different pitches then you would probably end up with eight crappy or average pitches instead of 3 maybe 4 real solid pitches.

Well, it all depends what kind of coach you have, some let you do all of those pitches, some on the other hand dont. the last thing you want to do though is send a pitch straight down the middle on 2 strikes and 3 balls. when i was pitching i pitched a knuckle ball on 3 balls 2 strikes, and the kid just stood there and started at it, didnt even swing. but back to your question, if you want to you can, but some coaches tell you what kind of pitches you have to pitch.

Yes he certainly can. You can use as many pitches as you have. The only question is which pitches are working on that particular day.

Well It would be hard because you and the catcher could mix up signs but there is not rule about pitch type limits.

Of course he can, and if he has great control, a pitcher with that many pitches would be unhittable, but none have control of that many pitches.

Yep. And if he wants he can serve wine in one pitcher, water in another, and kool-aid in the third with fruit juice in the fourth.
As for the other four? Anything he wants except dirty water.

idk but it would be great if you could
i think Smoltz throws 5 pitches but he also knows how to throw a knuckleball, making it 6 pitches
i've never seen him throw it but he says he's been working on it for a while now, like 3 years
