I took my lumps for being a bears fan, and I also must admit I thought our season was over. I am far from thinking we still might be a playoff team but at least now I have some hope. Our defensive players are getting healthy and coming back and Griese threw more tds then ints last night. I cant remember the last time a bear QB did that. Even though the packers lost the game just as much as the bear won it, any time we beat the packers, it is great. Coach L. Smith 3-0 at Lambo field, thats got to hurt just a little.

In case you are wondering "what the heck is the question here", I just want to see who agrees with my comments and who feels it was just a fluke victory and the bears will still be a sub .500 team

the rule on field goals states that the players helmet must be outside the centers shoulder pads. They showed it on the NFL channel with the head of officiating and the player was not directly over the center but was clearly over the centers shoulder pads. It was a penalty according to the head of officiating and the replay made it obvious.

Good luck getting to the playoffs. I think it was long overdue for the great Brett Favre to lose a game by trying to do too much. I bet it pained Madden not to be able to put Favre's face on the horse trailer.

Go Bears! Actually, the first half was one of the worst and pathetic defensive performances I had ever seen. How in the world were the Packers running right over and through us? The first drive they had more rushing yards then they averaged per game and then Favre had thrown his second most first half yards in his career. If it wasn't for Tillman causing those fumbles we would've been in deep trouble.
However, the second half was a true test of heart and the TEAM showed what they were made of. Griese and the offense made a few plays (and actually decent play calls), Olsen and Clark carried us, Benson had 3-4 powerfull full speed rushes (only ran with purpose a half dozen times though not all his fault the line wasn't so great again), and the defense stood up to the Packers.
Favre didn't try to do too much. It was more like he wasn't allowed to throw. Even Madden said both teams were playing too conservative and 'not to lose.' I'll take it anyway I can get it right now as a Bears fan. It's a damn shame they couldn't hold on vs the Lions and Chargers. With all the injuries they have on defense the "O" has to step it up; which they did. We even saw a Hester reverse!
Watch out Vikings, we're gonna blow you up!

Having been a Bears fan for a long time, through many bad times, and a few good times, I must say that ANY time that the Bears beat that town from the North, it is a good week.
I used to think(and sometimes still do) that if the Bears could only win 2 games all year, I hope they would the g.b.picker games.
Let's hope this is the start of the turn around for 2007.
By the way favre is pronounced favor, as in rhymes with savor, as in what we're doing with this victory; I don't know where that inbred looking hillbilly got farv.?

Ya the bears did not win that game. the packers lost it. They finally got a running game going and they were driving good but 2 fumbles in bears territory and 2 picks by favre didnt help. Also that field goal kick was bull. He wasnt lined up over the center
Go Packers!!

Lovie is 4-0 in Lambeau Field as a Bears head coach. You call yourself a Bears fan? Get your stats right first. You embarrass all Bear fans with that sh!t.

Da Bears won't only be at da Superbowl, they are going to be da winners. If all people is making relaxing of you, they're only envious which you're helping a prevailing team. They in all probability help that team of fellows from Wisconsin that social gathering as quickly as a week and attempt to play ball. What do you anticipate from people who positioned on cheese on their heads?

Their defense is very questionable though. They gave up over 340 yds in the first half to a one dimensional Packer team.

The bears are a great team without a great quarterback. Not an good place to be.
If they had a really good quarterback they would be Super Bowl champions.
