Money is the first requirement. The ability to kiss corporate Americas butt is the second requirement. Being able to lie, cheat, & steal are also qualifications. Lying with a straight face, cheating to acheive what you want no matter HOW you acheive it. Steal or accept corporate money that you enabled corporate America to steal from the people(a round about way to steal). Low moral standards are also a pre-requisite
to be successful as a politician. All these things we hold so dear to our heart & mind can be found in the very people we elect time & time again into the same hole in congress.

If reality is to be observed, the requirements are:
1) Being a good con man.
2) Be a good liar.
3) Present yourself, your standards and your issues according to polling data, NOT how you truly believe and CHANGE your views any time the polling results change.
5) Never make a promise you aren't readily willing to break.
6) Disguise the source of your campaign funds.
7) Hide your voting record.
