Unless there is a medical concern for you or the baby, sexual intercourse can continue throughout your pregnancy. In the third trimester, when your stomach begins to get in the way, you will have to be creative to find positions that are more comfortable. I am mom to 4 kids. My husband and I had sex throughout each pregnancy with no problems. At the very end of your pregnancy there is some evidence that sperm can help along the labor process because it contains prostaglandin which aids in the thinning of the cervix. I did not experience that, however. All 4 of my kids were born past their due dates. Your doctor will tell you if sex should be stopped during your pregnancy, but it shouldn't be a problem.

You can have intercourse whenever you want during pregnancy, so long as it doesn't cause too much discomfort or cause bleeding. I'm 10 1/2 weeks and we occassionally go 2 or 3 times in a single day. It doesn't hurt the baby, it can just be uncomfortable in certain positions.

Twenty times a day if you want to, it makes no difference at all. Unless there's a specific problem and your doctor tells you not to, of course.
