Yes. I would support such a tax. If it did nothing else it would bring all the heads belonging to the members of the Ostrich Society out of the ground and have them realize we are at war. Iraq is not a war. It is one military operation. There's another one in Afghanistan. And one back here called Operation Noble Eagle which is concerned with defense of the homeland. They are all part of the Global War On Terrorism. Other operations are being carried out as well, away from the cameras of CNN, Fox News and MSNBC. On September 20, 2001 the President told the Congress and the American people that this would be a long war. He didn't lie about that. It will be a long war. He said we would make mistakes. We have. If only the Ostrich Society didn't have their heads planted so firmly in the ground they might have heard him and understood.
