I am very much a social butterfly. I get along with variety of people.
I am not shy about approaching people either. I guess I get that from my mom.

I agree, it does take practice. You won't get "social" if you keep yourself at home because you're afraid of social situations. The next time you go to the library, go to the self-help section, they have a lot of books that can give you a lot of good pointers. I read a book by Barbara Walters, and she explained how she was able to talk to anyone, no matter their social status. I still llike to use those techniques. There are also people, coaches, they can help you too. Bottom line though is confidence, even if you're not confident, pretend that you are and see how others will be attracted to you and then just take it from there!!

In a strange place: semi-socially inadequate.
Most of the time: social butterfly. I always have been able to find something in common with almost anyone.

I am a major social butterfly. I have so many facets to my character & I get along with a lot of different people. I flourish with people around me :-)

I adjust my self to the group. there are some that I will join in and the others that I will avoid.
i am not shy and my father used to call me "International" because I am known to many people.
